.as yet untitled.

.As Yet Untitled.

As Hope itself cried “Glory”, we the redeemed stood firm; waiting in anticipation for the word to engage the darkness that stood in defiance before us.
Our numbers were few but if you could have seen the passion coursing through our veins you would guess there to be hundreds of thousands gathered on that fate ordained day. We stood in perfect surrender to the understanding that the field before us could be the very grounds where our final breath awaits its call.
Staring down the darkness that lay before us, the words from Wisdom’s mouth calmed our nerves and strengthened those of us on the frontline. His advice was as follows, “Let not what you don’t understand take from your grip that which you do.” A truth that would prove vital in our fight to set the captives free.
Standing there, shoulder to shoulder each of us unified in the blood of our King. We waited for Grace to sound the battle cry, the one that would initiate the coming onslaught.
A sense of urgency washed over the faithful gathered; blending with it was the ever-swelling anticipation of the task at hand. The resulting emotion was something that these mere words struggled to define. This infectious emotion continued to swell and churn as all eyes turned on Grace who looked to Hope who then gave the nod we’d waited an age for.
Surging forward the Saints joined in with the cries of Hope and all His followers, the sound that came for left our enemies frozen with fear. We engaged the darkness head on fueled by the knowledge that we were fighting not for earthly kingdoms or worldly gain, but for the eternal destination of the souls embodied by the ones we love.

“My idea of success is not a comfortable life, one of financial security and a healthy retirement fund. To me success is having the honor to leave this world fighting for those who could not fend for themselves. It is my prayer that I would die on the right battlefield, with the peace that I gave my all. Only then will I truly succeed.”
